Egg yolks are not the devil
A long-standing myth in the health industry refers to egg yolks being bad for you due to its high cholesterol content, but studies confirm that they have no effect on blood cholesterol in most people. For this reason, whole eggs are often referred to as natures multivitamin due to their high nutritious values.
In addition to relevant studies, a large review which included 263,938 people found that whole egg consumption had no association with heart disease.
This helps confirm that they are one of the most nutritious foods in the world and the yolk is the most nutritious part, so by throwing the yolk away you are not only wasting good food but you’re depriving yourself of all that goodness.
