The Fat to avoid ‘Trans’

Man-made fats such as artificial trans fats which are found in convenience and fast foods have been strongly linked to inflammation of the arteries which can result in heart disease, strokes, type 2 diabetes and other chronic diseases.

Unfortunately, trans fats are being used in more and more products these days, so it’s best to reduce the amount of fast food you eat considerably in order to avoid the irreversible effects.

Fitness Rush Tip

Check food labels for nutritional facts, most importantly the type of fat contained inside the food. Think unsaturated (mono & poly) are good but saturated (trans) fats are bad.
