Protect your guts!
Microbiota is collective bacteria in your gut which is sometimes referred to as the "forgotten organ". It plays an important role of digesting food which the stomach and small intestine could not. It also plays a role in the production of vitamins b and k which help reduce fatigue, support the correct functioning of the nervous system and helps the blood clot to stop excessive bleeding.
A disruption to this gut bacteria has been linked to some serious chronic diseases including obesity. A great way to improve gut health is to eat plenty of fibre which acts as fuel for the bacteria and eat probiotic foods like live yoghurt or introduce probiotic supplements.
