Introducing Sydnie Jai

Sydnie joins Fitness Rush with a wealth of knowledge and brings a new aspect to what we can provide. This now allows us to build strength, increase mobility, rehabilitate injuries and relax tired muscles, all from our exclusive fitness facility.

Let's hear what Sydnie thinks about joining our team of growing professionals and her journey which led up to working alongside us.

"I have always been fascinated by the human body and its ability to do great things. Whether it’s physically demanding exercise or recovering from injury; the human body is often capable of what many deem incapable. We are also very complex beings, anatomically we are all very similar, but our lifestyle and genetic makeup causes differences in our ability to physically progress, recover and stay stimulated; which as a Sports Therapist it’s important for me to consider and make you aware of.  I have worked alongside professional athletes since graduating in 2017, and in private practice saw a variety of individuals of various age ranges and physical abilities. Despite the name, a Sports Therapist isn’t solely for those who partake in Sport, I am here to adhere to all musculoskeletal injuries or complaints; exercise induced or not. I became a Sports Therapist to encourage people, bring positivity to what may seem like a bad situation, and most importantly help restore your body to its maximal potential. Rehabilitation is always advancing, as is my knowledge and personal practice."

"I am joining Fitness Rush not only to help with injury rehabilitation and prehabilitation, but to share my knowledge and work alongside the personal trainers to help you be the best and most healthy version of yourself."

I graduated from Edge Hill University with a First-Class Honours in Sports Therapy BSc (Hons), specialising in the assessment and rehabilitation of common and sporting musculoskeletal injuries. My philosophy is to restore, maintain and maximise movement, relieve pain and increase quality of life through hands-on treatment modalities, rehabilitation and patient education. Sharing valuable knowledge and helping you with your complaint, however big or small is of upmost importance in order to provide you with a clear understanding of your complaint, and the best way to improve to feel like “you” again!

Throughout life I have always enjoyed helping people. My desire to help people and my passion for sport led to my career path of Sports Therapy. I value the importance of treating everyone as an individual, ensuring all rehabilitation provided is not only applicable to your injury but best suited to you and your lifestyle. Often people feel overwhelmed by injury and find rehabilitation daunting, but it’s important for me that you feel in control of your injury and rehabilitation process; all the while making it a positive and informative journey. Whether you have an injury, area of tightness, poor posture or wish to maximise your bodies potential then I welcome you with open arms at Fitness Rush.
