Each and every clients' wellbeing is at the forefront of our minds when making important decisions, but none have been as serious as the COVID-19 outbreak in our life times, so we as a nation need to work together to protect those who are vulnerable or less fortunate than ourselves and we will overcome this devastating time that has been quickly thrust upon us without real warning.
As a leading Fitness provider, we feel it necessary to offer our services outside of our exclusive personal training facility and provide a training option for anyone looking to continue their exercise without the luxury of visiting a gym or having a wide choice of equipment to choose from.
Our professional trainers can adapt their knowledge to train individuals either with or without equipment but still achieve the same great results we have seen accomplished at the Fitness Rush facility.
The single most important action we can all take, in fighting coronavirus, is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives.
When we reduce our day-to-day contact with other people, we will reduce the spread of the infection. That is why the government has introduced three new measures.
Every person in the UK must comply with these new measures, which came into effect on Monday 23 March. The relevant authorities, including the police, have been given the powers to enforce them – including through fines and dispersing gatherings.
The government will look again at these measures after three weeks, and relax them if the evidence shows this is possible.
You should only leave the house for very limited purposes:
These reasons are exceptions - even when doing these activities, you should be minimising time spent outside of the home and ensuring you are 2 metres apart from anyone outside of your household.
These measures must be followed by everyone. Separate advice is available for individuals or households who are isolating, and for the most vulnerable who need to be shielded.
Where parents do not live in the same household, children under 18 can be moved between their parents’ homes.
The Government has also identified a number of critical workers whose children can still go to school or their childcare provider. This critical worker definition does not affect whether or not you can travel to work - if you are not a critical worker, you may still travel to work provided you cannot work from home.
Critical workers and parents of vulnerable children may leave the house to take children to and from school or their childcare provider.
Other critical public services – such as social services, support for victims, support provided by the Department for Work and Pensions, or the justice system – should be provided and accessed remotely whenever possible, but you can leave the house to access them when physical attendance is absolutely necessary. House moves should be delayed unless moving is unavoidable.
To reduce social contact, the Government has ordered certain businesses and venues to close. More detailed information and exemptions can be found, including the full list of those businesses and other venues that must close, but they include:
Other businesses can remain open and their employees can travel to work, provided they cannot work from home.
To make sure people are staying at home and apart from each other, the Government is also stopping all public gatherings of more than two people.
There are only exceptions to this rule for very limited purposes:
In addition, the Government is stopping social events, including weddings, baptisms and other religious ceremonies. This excludes funerals, which can be attended by immediate family.
As set out in the section on staying at home, you can travel for work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home.With the exception of the organisations covered above in the section on closing certain businesses and venues, the government has not required any other businesses to close – indeed it is important for business to carry on.
Employers and employees should discuss their working arrangements, and employers should take every possible step to facilitate their employees working from home, including providing suitable IT and equipment to enable remote working.
Sometimes this will not be possible, as not everyone can work from home. Certain jobs require people to travel to, from and for their work – for instance if they operate machinery, work in construction or manufacturing, or are delivering front line services.
If you cannot work from home then you can still travel for work purposes, provided you are not showing coronavirus symptoms and neither you nor any of your household are self-isolating. This is consistent with advice from the Chief Medical Officer.
Employers who have people in their offices or onsite should ensure that employees are able to follow Public Health England including, where possible, maintaining a 2 metre distance from others, and washing their hands with soap and water often for at least 20 seconds (or using hand sanitiser gel if soap and water is not available).
Work carried out in people’s homes, for example by tradespeople carrying out repairs and maintenance, can continue, provided that the tradesperson is well and has no symptoms. Again, it will be important to ensure that Public Health England guidelines, including maintaining a 2 metre distance from any household occupants, are followed to ensure everyone’s safety.
No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repairs, and where the tradesperson is willing to do so. In such cases, Public Health England can provide advice to tradespeople and households.
No work should be carried out by a tradesperson who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild.
As set out in the section on closing certain businesses and venues, the Government has published guidance on which organisations are covered by this requirement. Advice for employees of these organisations on employment and financial support is available at all times, workers should follow the guidance on self-isolation if they or anyone in their household shows symptoms.
These measures will reduce our day to day contact with other people. They are a vital part of our efforts to reduce the rate of transmission of coronavirus.
Every citizen is instructed to comply with these new measures.
The government is therefore ensuring the police and other relevant authorities have the powers to enforce them where people do not comply.
If you leave your home or gather in public for any reason other than those specified, the police may:
The police will act with discretion and common sense in applying these measures and we expect the public to act responsibly, staying at home in order to save lives.
However, if the police believe that you have broken these rules – or if you refuse to follow their instructions – a police officer may issue you with a fixed penalty notice for £60 (reduced to £30 if paid within 14 days). If you have already received a fixed penalty notice, the amount will increase to £120 and double on each further repeat offence.
The government will keep this under review and will increase the penalties if it becomes clear that this is necessary to ensure compliance.
Similarly, a business or venue operating in contravention with these measures will be committing an offence. Local authorities (for example, Environmental Health and Trading Standards officers) will monitor compliance, with support from the police if appropriate. Businesses and venues that breach them will be subject to prohibition notices and fixed penalty notices. Businesses that continue to contravene the measures will be forced to close down.
For both individuals and companies, if you do not pay, you may also be taken to court, with magistrates able to impose potentially unlimited fines.
The measures set out in this guidance will initially last for the three weeks from 23 March, at which point the government will look at them again and relax them if the evidence shows this is possible.
After joining Fitness Rush two years ago and training with Liam periodically, I have seen continued progress and success which I've never found from training alone. The friendly atmosphere coupled with Liam's fitness knowledge is second to none. If it's results you're looking for, then this is the place for you!!
Nice gym with a good range of equipment for both weight training and cardio. Members respect each other, and the equipment. The owner, Liam, is friendly and welcoming. Used the gym for a couple of months whilst I was in the area between house moves, but I wouldn't hesitate to make it my regular gym if I lived in the area permanently.
I started my journey 2 weeks ago and must say I am very pleased with the results so far .most gyms can be very nerve racking for most but feel very comfortable with it all. A big thank you to Liam for guiding me to achieve my goals.

I have been at Fitness Rush with Liam for the last six months. I love coming into the gym as it has a very welcoming atmosphere for a female going into the weights section at the gym this can be a very daunting, however at this gym I feel completely relaxed and everyone is willing to help if needed.
Since training with Liam I have learnt so much about fitness and my eating habits and this has resulted in me going from a size 16 in jeans now down to a size 12 (Nearly a size 10). I have not only lost weight and gone down in clothes sizes but I now feel happy with the way my body is looking for the first time in a long time.
I could not recommend this gym enough and Liam's personal training sessions are amazing and I love the fact that he tailors it to me as I have certain problems with my back and wrists and he always thinks about this when doing my sessions. Anyone wanting to start your story needs to sign up to this gym as all the equipment and staff are amazing!!!!
There is a lovely friendly atmosphere in this gym. I didn’t think as a female I’d have the confidence to go alone but I’ve not had that problem attending fitness rush! Liam is so friendly and is always there to help and guide in the way he feels it is best for you! I’ve only had one personal training session with Liam and this is something before I would never dream of signing up for but it was so much easier with a trainer who makes you feel welcome, when I attend without a training session Liam always asks how I am and how my session was after! The gym is very accommodating and I couldn’t recommend it more!!
I had Liam train me whilst I was visiting the UK for a couple of months last year. The progress I made under his guidance and knowledge was amazing, along with being serious towards the training, we also had a laugh and I made a friend for life. Highly recommended to anyone of any age or size!

It’s got everything you need to do all sorts of workouts/exercises. Liam is very helpful and so are the other members. A very comfortable environment to exercise in but a place where you can also challenge yourself and work out hard. Top gym, would recommend!
Great gym compared to those in the area. The weight equipment is really good and has a bigger selection of kit than many gyms with a more basic range. Plenty of bars, benches and machines to go around. There’s a great atmosphere within the gym and everyone tends to know each other. Liam along with the other PT’s who train there are always happy to help and give advice if you ask.
Found this gym very welcoming and Liam helped me challenge myself and set goals. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is a bit nervous about joining a gym. Liam is very welcoming and gives help & guidance where needed.

As I come to the end of my sessions with Liam my PT, my fitness has improved, my strength and stamina has grown and my weight loss continues. I've really enjoyed my sessions. Liam is approachable, friendly, skilled and super supportive. I can't recommend him and his gym enough.
Liam provides an exceptional one on one personal training service in his very well appointed gym. Each week my session is varied and challenging, allowing me to eat more cake during the week! I'd highly recommend Liam to anyone looking for a comprehensive and tailored service away from the stereotypical gyms!
Liam has been training me for a number of months; it's great - I turn up, he tells me what to do and catches anything I can't lift. He changes the exercises each session, and he is able to work around my problems (I am 70 years old, and have hip arthritis and a slipped disk from long ago). This is the first gym I have used, and I have found it extremely successful. There is a good range of equipment - both machines and free weights. Liam offers personal training, and pay as you go sessions, where you turn up and use the equipment unsupervised, which is cheaper. Altogether, excellent.
I really enjoy the time I spend at Fitness Rush with the expert advise of Liam. The customer service you get from Fitness Rush, that has been built up by a local fitness expert is miles better then a large chain or franchise. I recommend any man or woman to give it a try.
Many people have various reasons for losing weight, mine was for medical reasons. I needed to lose 10% of my starting body weight and bring my BMI down to below 32. I was given a 3 months time frame. I had already joined a mainstream gym many months before with little success, and also tried all the fad diets. Liam is my brother in law, he had already got himself in to exceptional shape, so I asked him for help. He worked out a healthy eating plan and a workout routine that I could do at home or in the gym. He also tailored it to fit around my unusual lifestyle, as I work though the night. We also had weekly weigh ins and as I progressed, he changed my workouts to make the most of my increasing level of fitness. So in 3 months I lost 2 stone and got my BMI down to 29. So with his help I exceeded my goal. I know it's hard to put yourself in someone else's hands, but sometimes we need that one to one guidance to help us achieve our goals. I believe Liam gave me this. 3 year's on, I now maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle on my own thanks to Liam.
After the first six weeks of attending Fitness Rush and Group sessions with Liam, I am surprised in many ways at the incredible knowledge, friendly atmosphere, willingness of others to be welcoming, my own ability to try and achieve and that no two sessions have, as yet, been the same as any other. I would highly recommend to anyone that is willing to give what they can to get the most out of it. I totally recommend Fitness Rush. It offers membership to use the gym and equipment but even better offers dedicated personal training. I have been having personal training with Liam for a number of months and I am really seeing results in terms of weight loss, body transformation and energy levels. I now want to work out and do more and have the strength and energy to do it as well as work full time and be a mum. Liam focuses on you as an individual and what you want to achieve and is a fantastic supporter of your fitness journey.
Liam 100% knows his stuff. I've trained with him since the start of the year and got more results in this time compared to the past 2 years. He also corrected my form on the chest press which instantly saw me lifting heavier. I can't thank him enough for the past, present and future towards fitness and my increased well-being.
My first visit to the gym in 4 months yesterday, and my first visit to Fitness Rush. A really friendly and welcoming atmosphere, Liam was helpful and on hand if I struggled with any of the equipment. I was impressed at the range of equipment and how clean and tidy the gym was. This is the perfect place to come if you find the big gyms a bit cold and impersonal. Definitely worth the monthly membership, and I’m looking forward to working with Liam on a routine soon.
Given that I could barely see my own feet due to the large stomach that I now had, after 6wks working with Liam saw it reduce massively. I feel so much fitter & healthier after having followed Liam's gym, cardio & dietary suggestions. His calm, friendly attitude towards workouts along with his knowledge on these subjects have definitely helped me get back into better shape - hard work, change of diet, it's all been worth it for sure. I started at fitness Rush last August. I was only going for 1 session to see what it was all about. Well here I am 5 months down and I love it!! Wanting to build my core muscles as well as getting into a dress for my daughters wedding Liam has worked a programme out which is right for me. I am stronger and fitter than I have ever been and I just love the one to one environment, no waiting to use the equipment! Liam is a professional instructor never making me feel I can't do anything, he encourages me every step of the way and if it is too much we look at an alternative. Liam is fantastic, he is patient and not critical at all. I have always been self conscious and anxious at the gym, but Liam puts me at ease and I don’t feel like that when I’m doing the training sessions with him. I also highly recommend Liam’s nutritional plan. I used to see a nutritionist and I found it confusing and didn’t get much out of it, but Liam’s plan is simple and easy. I gained so much energy and the weight has been falling off me. If you are looking for someone to support and guide you through the labyrinth of health and fitness, Liam is your man.
I look forward coming into the gym and training with Karl a couple of times a week! Always great fun and a good laugh along with hard work and getting good results out of each session (I even lunge brushing my teeth at home now!) After injury and health set backs I was unsure how to go about training again. I needn’t have been worried. Karl’s training techniques have helped me rehabilitate a back and foot problem whilst gaining strength, mobility and fitness. If I feel any pain Karl changes the session so I still benefit just as much as if I didn’t have an issue. He always checks in to make sure I’m feeling ok throughout the session and after. Above all it’s fun with the right results and I look forward to my training every week. Great motivator!
