School Inclusion & Behaviour Support

Supporting SEN, Pupil Premium & Behavioural Needs Through Socially Responsible Action

At Fitness Rush, our work with schools sits at the heart of our Corporate Social Responsibility commitment. We believe physical activity is a powerful, preventative tool that can change behaviour, improve life chances and reduce long-term social costs.

Our SEN, Pupil Premium and anti-social behaviour programmes are designed to support pupils who face barriers to engagement, inclusion and positive outcomes — ensuring no child is left behind due to circumstance, need or background.

Why This Matters

Children and young people with additional needs or social disadvantage are statistically more likely to experience:

  • Poor mental health

  • Disengagement from education

  • Behavioural challenges and exclusions

  • Anti-social behaviour outside school

  • Reduced long-term employability

Through early, structured and inclusive physical activity, Fitness Rush helps schools intervene before challenges escalate — supporting pupils to build confidence, routine, self-control and positive identity.

This approach aligns directly with our CSR focus on:

  • Prevention rather than crisis response

  • Reducing inequality

  • Supporting community resilience

  • Creating positive futures

SEN-Inclusive Physical Activity Provision

Our SEN provision supports pupils with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • ADHD

  • SEMH needs

  • Sensory processing challenges

  • Mild to moderate learning difficulties

Sessions are delivered in a calm, structured and predictable environment, supporting emotional regulation and positive engagement.

Key Outcomes

  • Improved self-regulation and emotional control

  • Reduced classroom disruption

  • Increased engagement in learning

  • Improved peer interaction

  • Increased confidence and independence

Our coaches adapt sessions to the individual needs of each pupil, ensuring inclusion, dignity and success.

Pupil Premium & Behaviour Support Programmes

Fitness Rush works with schools to deliver targeted Pupil Premium interventions for pupils at risk of:

  • Exclusion or repeated sanctions

  • Persistent disruptive behaviour

  • Low motivation or attendance

  • Anti-social behaviour in and beyond school

Physical activity provides a positive outlet for stress, frustration and excess energy, while reinforcing:

  • Respect and boundaries

  • Accountability and effort

  • Positive communication

  • Consistency and routine

These programmes contribute to:

  • Reduced incidents and exclusions

  • Improved pupil–staff relationships

  • Greater readiness to learn

  • Improved attendance and engagement

Preventing Anti-Social Behaviour Through Early Intervention

Our work supports schools in tackling anti-social behaviour before it becomes entrenched.

By engaging pupils who struggle in traditional classroom settings, we help:

  • Reduce disruptive and risky behaviours

  • Improve reintegration into lessons

  • Build positive daily routines

  • Support transition periods (primary to secondary)

This preventative approach reflects our wider CSR mission to:

  • Reduce pressure on schools

  • Reduce demand on public services

  • Support safer, healthier communities

Flexible, School-Led Delivery

Provision can be delivered:

  • During school hours

  • As part of inclusion or intervention timetables

  • In small groups or 1:1

  • Short-term or long-term

We work collaboratively with:

  • SENCOs

  • Pastoral and inclusion teams

  • Behaviour leads

  • DSLs

Programmes are shaped around school priorities, EHCP outcomes and individual pupil needs.

Measuring Impact & Social Value

As part of our CSR commitment, we prioritise accountability and measurable impact.

Schools receive:

  • Clear programme objectives

  • Engagement and attendance tracking

  • Behaviour and wellbeing observations

  • End-of-programme impact summaries

This supports:

  • Pupil Premium justification

  • Ofsted inspection readiness

  • SEN reviews

  • Whole-school wellbeing strategies

Our Commitment

By working with Fitness Rush, schools are partnering with an organisation committed to:

  • Inclusion and equal opportunity

  • Prevention over punishment

  • Long-term social impact

  • Responsible, ethical delivery

This work is not just about physical activity — it is about changing trajectories.
